About This Role

We're looking for a Senior ML Engineer to join our AI team. You'll build and deploy machine learning models that power our enterprise solutions, working on challenging problems in NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics. You'll collaborate with researchers, product managers, and clients to bring AI capabilities to production at scale.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for production systems
Work with large-scale data pipelines and optimize model performance
Collaborate with research team to translate research into production systems
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
Participate in architecture decisions and code reviews
Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering
Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Experience deploying ML models to production at scale
Solid understanding of ML algorithms and statistical concepts
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts

Nice to Have

Experience with NLP or computer vision
Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools (MLflow, Kubeflow)
Experience with African language processing
Contributions to open-source ML projects
Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field
